2019 Liftoff Mobile Heroes Year in Review
As we close out the decade, we want to take a moment to celebrate our Mobile Heroes and their achievements. Here are our favorite Mobile Hero highlights of the year.

20 New Mobile Heroes

This year we welcomed 20 new Mobile Heroes to the family. Mobile Heroes is a truly global program with 9 new heroes based in North America, 6 in Europe and 5 in Asia.  Congratulations to Margarita Vasilevskaya, Rose Agozzino, Morry Mitrani, Andreas Naumann, Gessica Bicego, Hana Aljoofri, Misha Syrotiuk, Kuo Lumpur, Sisi Ji, Boram Ku, Erman Akar, Vishal Korlipara, Takahiro Motegi, Kurt Geater, Erica Carter, Tyler Cooper, Derrick Nguyen, Kelvin Saputra, Giulia Porter and Mikhail Biteryakov!

1100+ Members in the Flourishing Mobile Heroes Slack Community

Slack
At its core, Mobile Heroes is about community. To kick off 2019, we launched the Mobile Heroes Slack Community, creating a space for you to ask questions, share resources and learn from each other. The community now has 1,152 members, sending an average of 525 messages each week, both public and private.

2 Unforgettable Mobile Heroes Summits in San Diego and Lake Como

This year we hosted not one but two Mobile Heroes Summits. Our North American Mobile Heroes Summit took place in sunny San Diego, where we hosted educational sessions, networking opportunities and deep-dive breakout discussions. We also enjoyed some time at the San Diego Zoo, whale watching, surfing and enjoying rooftop yoga sessions. In Europe, our Mobile Heroes Summit took place in beautiful Lake Como, Italy with three days of engaging content, amazing food, and some fantastic water sports. And yes, it was as delicious and magical as you might imagine.

Mobile Heroes Cabanas at MAU

Liftoff went big this year at MAU with the Mobile Heroes Cabanas, taking over the adult pool at the MGM and creating a relaxed space where app marketers could chill, network and recover from the always-on festivities. It was a blast and we can’t wait to share what we’ve got in store for MAU 2020 later this year.

2 Mobile Hero Comics... in Digital and Print!

When the Mobile Heroes aren’t sharing their expertise with the app marketing world on the Mobile Heroes blog, they’re fighting villains in the world of the Mobile Hero Comics. Check out issues #3 and #4 released in 2019, where Flame (Kevin Hsu @ Lyft), Quick Draw (Harry Bienenstock @ Playtika), Gyro (Sergey Grytsuk @ Playrix), Yeahyeah (Sisi Ji @ Me2zen), Andreas Fraudnaut (Andreas Naumann @ Adjust) and Dr. Nuclear (Margarita Vasilevskaya @ Scopely) fight crime and share valuable mobile marketing lessons.

As industry thought leaders, we love supporting the Heroes with media opportunities. Congratulations to Rose Agozzino for her feature in Gamasutra, Robert Garfinkle in Pocket Gamer, and Amanda Carvell, Mike Phu, Erica Carter, Harry Bienenstock, Misha Syrotiuk and Sisi Ji for their Forbes features (here and here).
